Bellaire dropped by Suttons Bay, falls to 0-2
BELLAIRE — Suttons Bay struck early and often in Thursday’s football game against Bellaire, putting touchdowns on the board the first six times they touched the ball in claiming a 48-0 win over the Eagles.
Suttons Bay, a big and physically-imposing looking squad, played as they appeared as the Norsemen dominated the smaller Eagles to drop Bellaire to 0-2.
Lucas Mikesell ran for touchdowns of 6, 22 and 24 yards to lead the way for the Norsemen, including Suttons Bay’s first two scores of the night on identical off-tackle plays where the senior back burst through the Bellaire defense on the way to paydirt.
Suttons Bay quarterback Bryce Opie added a 1-yard rushing touchdown that made it 21-0 early in the second quarter, then passed to Cesar Ramirez for a 55-yard touchdown that capped off the first half scoring and sent the Norsemen into the half with a 35-0 advantage.
