Bellaire restrooms, ball fields delayed
BELLAIRE — Construction of downtown public restrooms and new Craven Park ballfields has been delayed, but the Bellaire Village Council is hopeful that both projects will be complete by winter.
During the Council's monthly business meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 1, DPW Supervisor Bradley Keiser made that promise to the Council regarding both projects, which were approved last May.
With engineering and permitting complete, restroom contractor Floreno Construction, of Kalkaska, began sending supplies for construction in August, but Keiser said that he asked the contractor to hold off on any further preparation until after Bellaire's Rubber Ducky Days on Aug. 21.
