Blazers second, Ironmen third at Mancelona Invitational

MANCELONA — Kalkaska was the runner up, while host Mancelona finished third on Saturday at the Ironmen’s home wrestling tournament.

Kalkaska went 3-2, winning three straight matches after dropping two against Lake City (37-27) and Manton (54-27). The Blazers finished with victories against Houghton Lake 36-15, Boyne City 37-36, and Mancelona 36-34.

The Ironmen won three of their five matches on the day, including the first two they wrestled. They defeated Manton 48-36, Houghton Lake 60-12 and beat Lake City 33-33 on criteria. The losses came against Boyne City 45-36 and Kalkaska.
