A day we will never forget: The 20th anniversary of 9/11
REGION — The morning of Sept. 11, 2001 remains one of the most pivotal points in American history, with the attacks having taken the lives of nearly 3,000 people.
Twenty years have passed since terrorists flew two commercial airplanes into
the World Trade Center in New York City and changed America forever.
Two decades is a long time. But it’s a day few of us will forget. Many of us
remember exactly where we were when the twin towers fell.

Triston Cole, former state rep. for the 105th District in Michigan, was a
26-year-old working at Sanctuary Ranch in Big Rapids as a hunting
guide at the time of the attacks.
