Elks end season at regional opener

HOUGHTON LAKE — Elk Rapids looked to be on the verge of winning its first regional game since 1929 early in Monday’s matchup with Whittemore-Prescott.

The regional curse reared up however, and a 20-0 run by Whittemore in the final quarter led to the 67-59 loss for the Elks.
