Ironmen come up big at home invitational
MANCELONA — The Mancelona boys cross country team stepped up with a big-time performance to finish first out of nine teams at the Mancelona Invitational on Saturday.
Mancelona had two runners in the top 10 and four in the top 20 as they ended up with 64 points. Second place Grayling had 71 points and Boyne City was right behind with 73. Kalkaska took fourth with 86.
Mancelona’s girls ended up in second place with 83 points. Boyne City ran away with the meet with 23 points and Inland Lakes took third (97). Kalkaska finished seventh (147).
