Kalkaska Bacchanalia promises to heat up July
KALKASKA – The Kalkaska County Fair invites all to the 6th annual Kalkaska Bacchanalia Saturday, July 20 from 7-11 p.m. at the Civic Center on the Kalkaska County Fairgrounds.
The rain or shine event is an annual fundraiser for the Fair featuring a variety of regionally crafted beverages, appetizers created with local ingredients from area restaurants, and an array of Michigan musical talent.
Each event ticket purchased includes a souvenir tasting glass, six adult beverage tastings, two food tasting plates and free unlimited non-alcoholic beverages. Additional beverage and food tasting tickets will be available for purchase at the event.
A diverse representation of Michigan beverage vendors will be on-site, including: Grand Traverse Distillery, Bee Well Meadery, Iron Fish Distillery, St. Ambrose Cellars, Storm Cloud Brewing, Short’s Brewing, Right Brain Brewery, and many more. Non-alcoholic choices provided free for everyone in attendance include Northwoods Soda and water.
A variety of tasting choices featuring local ingredients and products will be provided by community businesses such as Trout Town Cafe, The Kal-ho Bar and Sweet Shannon's.
Sweet Shannon's brings a new level of tasting experience to the Bacchanalia for 2019, with handmade chocolates and fresh shaved sno-cones. Enjoy the sno-cones to cool down on the July night or add a favorite adult beverage for a spiked treat.
The musical line-up for this year’s event promises to heat up the dance floor with performances by Kenny Thompson, Trending: Classic and The Rhythm Kings. Other opportunities to round out attendee’s Bacchanalia experience include a Selfie-Station and Silent Auction.
