Kalkaska Farmers Market prepares to wrap up strong season
KALKASKA – The Kalkaska Farmers Market has three weeks left of its summer-long events that have drawn in an average of 75-120 customers every week. The market takes place every Tuesday from 2-6 p.m. at Railroad Square in downtown Kalkaska, and will continue through the second Tuesday in October.
The market brings in a variety of vendors with a diverse array of products, including baked goods, fresh produce, meat, eggs, crafts, woodwork, milk, homemade soaps, ice cream and more.
“It is important to make this a community event, to keep our dollars local, and celebrate our agricultural heritage,” stated market host Michael Oosterhart.
