Kruger resigns from BOC
BELLAIRE – Just three weeks before being elected to another two-year term of office, District 8 County Commissioner Scott Kruger, of Mancelona, resigned from the position on Thursday, Oct. 11.
In his letter of resignation, sent to the Board of Commissioners via email, Kruger said, "My business dealings downstate are happening fast and require my full-time attention, thus rendering me unable to fulfill my duties to the ability that my district and county deserve.
"I am doing this with the future of my home district and my county in mind," he continued in the letter. "Although I am moving away, Antrim County and Mancelona will ALWAYS be where my heart is."
Kruger went on to thank the people of his district for their confidence in him and to thank the other eight commissioners, as well as all of Antrim County's employees.
