Lajewski, Meriwether named MVPs of All Star Games

TRAVERSE CITY — Kalkaska and Antrim Counties were certainly well represented at the third annual Northern Michigan All Star Basketball Games on Sunday.

Kalkaska’s Micah Lajewski was named the Most Valuable Player in the girls game, while Bellaire’s Gabe Meriwether netted the same honor in the boys game.

The two 2017 graduates and basketball standouts were among three players from the area to suit up for the games, held at Traverse City St. Francis. Mancelona’s Eileene Naniseni, who joined Lajewski on the winning Purple team, also was part of the event.
