Eric Crissman will return to the Elk Rapids District Library to share his fly tying expertise in a three-class series starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, and meeting the next two Tuesdays (Jan. 15 and 22) at the same time. Participants will learn how to tie the three most popular lures for catching trout: a “Nymph,” “Dry Fly” and a “Streamer.” The series of classes is open to the first 10 people who register by calling 231-264-9979. The classes are free and open to all levels of skill. The sessions are sponsored by the library, with supplies and equipment provided by Boyne Outfitters.
