McClure runs under 17 minutes at Mancelona Open

MANCELONA — Mancelona senior Tyler McClure ran a sub-17-minute time of 16:49, nearly two minutes ahead of the next closest competitor to lead the Ironmen at the Mancelona Open on Wednesday, Sept. 16.

McClure was one of four top 10 finishers for Mancelona, which won the boys side of the meet with 27 points. Johannesburg-Lewiston was second with 36 and Inland Lakes took third with 66.

Joining McClure as scorers for Mancelona included Greg Parsons, who was third in 18:39, James Lakie in sixth in 19:52, Dan Wildfong in seventh in 20:09 and Hans Lobes in 12^th in 20:44.
