Proposed RV park draws concerns
KEWADIN — More than 100 people attended an open-air public hearing last week to voice concerns about a proposed Torch River RV park.
The hearing, held on Tuesday, July 14 in a pavilion in the Milton Township Park on Indian Road, was conducted by the Milton Township Planning Commission as part of the township's special use permit process which, if approved, will allow construction of the 80-site park to proceed.
Moderated by Planning Commission Chair Bill Hefferan, the hearing began with a description of the proposal by Jim Brewer, developer and owner of the 17 acres between Torch River Road and Miller Road that the park will be located on.
