Reward offered for information leading to arrest of shooter
BELLAIRE – Finn is just your average very friendly and easygoing yellow and white tabby cat that likes to go outside and wander around a little once in a while.
"We rescued him as a tiny 5-week-old kitten that had been horribly abused and neglected before we got him," said his owner Cathy Peterson last week. "So when he found a home with us he never went very far, and would only be gone for a couple of hours at a time.”
But on Nov. 1, the morning after Halloween, Finn had still not returned from his walk around the Petersons' Thayer Lane home the evening before.
Then he was found hiding on the ledge of a window on the family's home.
"He'd been bleeding, profusely, all down his legs," said the distraught Peterson, who with her husband Bill owns and operates both the Moka café and the Starlight Lounge in downtown Bellaire.
