Romeyn is first and foremost for boys track and field for 2019
REGION — Isaiah Romeyn’s running abilities are no secret.
The Ellsworth senior has been the Review’s boys cross country runner of the year for the past three seasons and has put himself among the top competitors in the area on the track during that same time.
Romeyn didn’t leave any doubt this spring as he finished his high school career with his best track season yet, winning regional championships in two individual events and as part of one relay, then earning all-state honors in a pair of events. That kind of late flourish to the season was the kind of performance that separated Romeyn from the rest of the athletes around and made him this season’s Review Boys Track and Field Runner of the Year.
