Star Township says ‘no’ to medical marijuana facility
ALBA – Although other areas, like Kingsley and Kalkaska, have been in the news recently regarding applications for commercial medical marijuana facilities, Antrim County is not being ignored by those interested in starting marijuana businesses.
However, whether the businesses are wanted or not is another question, as an attorney representing a downstate cannabis coalition discovered last week when the Star Township Board of Trustees informally said "no" to a proposed application that – if approved – would allow for the construction of a facility that would reportedly have been located on Tucker Road in the township.
