Tide turns quickly in loss to Wyoming Tri-Unity Christian
CENTRAL LAKE — The tide turned on Central Lake-Ellsworth late in the first half and the Trojans had no answer for Wyoming Tri-Unity Christian in the second half as the Defenders rolled to a 48-12 victory in football action on Saturday.
Tri-Unity recovered a fumble in the end zone as Central Lake-Ellsworth was about to about to go ahead for the first time in the game, then took an 18-12 lead when it scored on a 19-yard touchdown pass from Brayden Ophoff to Nick Wedeven with eight seconds to play in the first half. The Defenders (6-0, 4-0 Midwest Central Michigan West Division) went on to score four unanswered touchdowns in the final two quarters to finish the contest off with a bang.
