KALKASKA – A local woman is now safe and recovering thanks to the life-saving efforts of a Michigan State Police trooper and a pair of firefighters from Kalkaska Township Fire Department Station No. 7 who helped pull her from her burning home on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
KALKASKA – There will be plenty of mirth and laughter, and maybe even a tear or two, as Kalkaska Township Fire Department Station No. 7 again hosts its annual “Fallen Firefighters Memorial Picnic” on Saturday, Aug. 24, from noon to 4 p.m. at its station house on Laurel Street in Kalkaska.
KALKASKA – The station house at Kalkaska Township Fire Department Station No. 7 might soon have a new addition to its fleet of emergency vehicles. And, it will only cost the local fire department $1.
