Angry teen makes threat against school, county building
KALKASKA – A local teen upset over a truancy issue with Kalkaska Public Schools has possibly traded the potential of the classroom for a jail cell.
Daniel Benjamen, 17, of Kalkaska County was arrested Wednesday, Dec. 13, and then officially charged with two felonies in the 87th-B District Court on the following day after allegedly posting threats online on a social media site.
Benjamen, a former student at Kalkaska High School, was charged on Thursday, Dec. 14, with false report or threat of terrorism and unlawful posting of a message.
