Ball headed to Trine University for basketball

ELK RAPIDS — Preston Ball had a choice to make. Did he want to go to college to play basketball or soccer?
A four-year varsity standout in both sports, Ball settled on basketball and signed a letter of commitment to play at Trine University in May at the Elk Rapids High School.
“I had opportunities to play basketball or soccer, but I chose basketball because I have always dreamed of playing college basketball and when I got the opportunity I wanted to take it and run with it,“ Ball said.
