Bellaire mourns the passing of Robinson

BELLAIRE — There was a welcomed roster spot and a role for everybody on Brock Robinson’s football teams.

The belief that every player could contribute in some way is what made Robinson a players’ coach, says Bellaire athletic director Brad Fischer.

“He cared about everybody,” said Fischer. “He didn’t care who you were. If he had 30 kids on the roster, one through 30 was important. Or if he had 14 or 15 — one through 15 were equals. He gave everybody a shot and thought anybody could bring anything to the table and was very patient with each of the kids and would do anything for them.”
