Blazers dominate Pine River to kick off football campaign

KALKASKA — The Kalkaska football team expected to be dangerous offensively with all the returning weapons at its disposal.

The Blazers didn’t disappoint in their season opener on Friday night.

Quarterback Jaxon Disbrow threw three touchdowns to three different receivers and Nolan Mitchell topped the 100-yard rushing mark and also had a pair of touchdowns as the Blazers rolled past Leroy-Pine River 33-8.
