Central Lake unable to snap its slide
CENTRAL LAKE — The Central Lake boys basketball team limped into Christmas break on Friday after suffering their third straight loss, an 86-52 setback against Pellston.
Blake Cassidy poured in 25 points and Tanner Byard added 20 for an explosive Hornets’ squad that buried 11 three-pointers along the way.
Pellston (7-1, 4-1 SVC) left the Trojans behind midway through the second quarter, using a 10-0 run to take the lead for good. The Hornets blew the game open in the second half, particularly in the fourth quarter when they outscored Central Lake 23-5.
