Council praises treasurer’s performance, increases workload

KALKASKA — As the saying goes, time heals all wounds. And, the controversy that gripped the Village of Kalkaska now truly seems to be a “thing of the past.”

At its regular meeting Monday, Dec. 9, the Kalkaska Village Council followed the recommendation of its Personnel Committee and increased the weekly workload for treasurer Valerie Tracey, who joined the village office staff in April, from 15 to 25 hours.
