Elks hoist soccer district trophy

ELK RAPIDS — The drizzle was like a fog over the soccer field at Elk Rapids on Friday night, but the weather did not phase the Elks’ boys soccer team as they recorded a 7-0 win over Benzie Central in the Division 3 district championship.

The district title was the first for the Elks since the 2015 season, a team that had just two of the current Elks playing, seniors Finn Husband and Ethan Pike.
