First Winter Farmers Market at Kaliseum was a winner
KALKASKA — The Kalkaska Farmers Market wrapped up its first successful indoor Winter Market Tuesday, Dec. 14 at the Kaliseum.
After spending an extended and wildly popular inaugural summer in the pavilion at Railroad Square in downtown Kalkaska, the seasonal closure of the building meant Market Manager Renee Penny had to brainstorm to keep the momentum going.
“Vendors were interested in extending the Market closer to the holiday season,” explained Penny.
Penny also knew that the Kaliseum had been experimenting with new ways to increase foot traffic and memberships.
