Huntoon brings impressive resume to Warriors’ sideline

FIFE LAKE — Max Huntoon brings an impressive resume to the Forest Area football program.

The Warriors’ new head coach steps into the position of leading Forest Area after about a quarter century in coaching — a career that includes time spent as a head coach, assistant coach, and at both the high school and college levels. Most recently, Huntoon was on the staffs of some large high schools in the Houston and Atlanta areas.

“I’m looking forward to getting back and leading a program in Michigan again,” said Huntoon.

Huntoon was planning to be the Warriors’ assistant coach when head coach Brian Mumby offered him a spot on the coaching staff earlier this year. Mumby knew Huntoon from their days coaching at Reed City.
