KPS board unanimous in appointing new board member
KALKASKA — The Kalkaska Public Schools Board of Education is back up to full strength.
The local school board was a “man down” after Trustee Mike Tinkle resigned from the board earlier this year.
Tinkle, himself originally appointed to the district school board, was unopposed in his campaign for a full, six-year term and garnered 4,254 votes in the November 2020 general election. The remaining six members of the KPS board held interviews to find Tinkle’s successor prior to their regular monthly meeting on Monday, Feb. 15, later voting unanimously to appoint Sarah Dudek of Kalkaska.
