Lancers use big runs to surge past Alba

ALBA — It was a game of runs when Ellsworth and Alba met on Thursday in a Northern Lakes Conference boys basketball game.

Each of those runs came from the Lancers, though, who cruised to a 69-26 win — their sixth straight and third in a row by 30 or more points.

Ellsworth (7-4, 6-0 NLC) recorded surges where it outscored the host Wildcats 19-0 and 17-0 in the first half, then started the second half with an 8-0 burst to control the contest in dominant fashion.
