Light finds perfect match at Adrian College

ADRIAN — The Adrian College men’s track and field team has had its share of success developing hurdlers.

Josh Light is hoping that can lead to big things on the track for the recent Ellsworth graduate.

Light signed his letter of intent with the Bulldogs this spring and is just weeks away from heading to the school in the southern part of Michigan, where he joins a program that had seven athletes qualify for the Division III national championships and had three All-Americans during the indoor season last winter.

“A couple of their hurdlers went to nationals this past year. I think they have a pretty strong hurdle curriculum,” said Light. “I’m pretty excited. I know a lot of their other runners have gone pretty far too.”

Light is aiming to follow in the footsteps of Adrian hurdlers Jordan Davis and Denzel Tinsley, both of whom reached the national meet in 2019, with Davis being one of the Bulldogs who achieved All-American status during the indoor season.
