Local postal worker calls it a career after 35 years

KALKASKA — The number of parcels of mail that Patricia Kauska has had cross her path could be in the millions.
It’s hard to say for certain. After all, it is easy to lose count when you spend 35 years as a postal worker.
Not only has Kauska helped send mail all over Kalkaska County, but also to virtually every locale in Michigan, as well as many points across the United States and around the world.
Now, the mail will stop for Kauska as she’s ready to head into retirement.
