KALKASKA — The Log Lake Disc Golf Course, part of the Log Lake County Park and campground, is one of the oldest disc golf courses in the Kalkaska area, first opening around 2000. The course has 18 holes, is open all year round, and has been gaining popularity and more players in recent years.

Eric Lucyk, a local disc golfer who considers himself an ambassador for the sport has been involved with hosting tournaments, improving, and spreading the word about the Log Lake course for several years now.

“There are various clubs that run tournaments there throughout the summer months,” said Lucyk, with an average of at least 3-4 tournaments being held at the course every year in addition to a singles league that runs from May through September.
