MSU Extension office welcomes new coordinator

BELLAIRE – Antrim County's Michigan State University Extension office recently welcomed southern Illinois resident David Vachon as its new 4-H program coordinator.

A former research assistant at the Center for Rural Health and Social Services Development at Southern Illinois University’s School of Medicine, Vachon worked to improve the lives of school-aged children. He accomplished that by planning and evaluating elements of the Illinois CATCH Onto Health program, and also worked as a health educator for the Southern Seven

Health Department where he delivered educational programming related to smoking cessation and coordinated school health.
