Romeyn finishes career as the best around

REGION — Isaiah Romeyn has cemented his status as the best cross country runner in the area for the past three years.

That includes this season, when Ellsworth’s top runner capped off a brilliant career as a medalist at the Division 4 state finals, leading the Lancers to a 18^th-place finish. It was the fourth straight season Romeyn has competed on the state’s highest level for an Ellsworth program that maintained its reputation as a major player in running circles. Of course, Romeyn had plenty of help with the likes of Caleb Godwin, Robbie Wise, Lucas Sweet, Richard Adams, Alex Adams and Graham Oliver giving Ellsworth a deep core of talent.
