Schools to begin online programs
REGION — Despite the ongoing threat of the coronavirus, in the next two weeks beginning on Monday, Aug. 31, students in both Antrim County and Kalkaska County will return to school.
But not all of them will be entering brick and mortar buildings to begin another school year.
Instead, some will be sitting behind a Chromebook or Ipad at home.
All of Antrim and Kalkaska County's public schools are offering "distance learning programs" this year, with set curriculums and, in some schools, teachers dedicated only to online students.
