Village police continue investigating bomb threat

KALKASKA — The Kalkaska Department of Public Safety is continuing its investigation into a bomb threat phoned into a local fast food restaurant early last week.

According to KDPS reports, the Burger King restaurant in Kalkaska allegedly received a bomb threat shortly before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22.

“An unknown caller reported that there was a bomb in a toilet in the men’s restroom,” said KDPS Lt. Aaron Popa in a prepared statement released by the department. “Officers checked both restrooms and did not see anything suspicious.”
