The Village of Central Lake is sponsoring the Central Lake Upper Chain Ice Fishing Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 13. You may pre-register at Central Lake Corner Store, Central Lake Tavern, NuStar Insurance, Alden Lumber in Central Lake or Captain’s Choice Marine and Bellaire Bait & Tackle in Bellaire.
An outdoor family fun day is being held on Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Helena Township Tennis Court Park in Alden. Presented by Alden District Library, the event includes an interactive story walk, DIY snow sculptures, naturalist activity by Grass River staff, bonfire, snacks, and kids bag of books sale. Times are from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 1-2:30 p.m.
