Maintenance Director - YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps is seeking a maintenance director to oversee buildings and property at our two camps. The Maintenance Director will oversee the care of facilities and property at both camps. Working closely with the Property Manager at each camp, the Maintenance Director will ensure that the buildings, grounds and vehicles are clean, cared for and maintained appropriately. The position is intended to be hands-on, with the Maintenance Director expected to take on frontline tasks such as repairs, landscaping and general facility upkeep. The Director will also have primary contact with outside vendors/contractors and (some) regulatory entities. Administrative duties include budget management, ordering supplies, managing regulatory compliance, payroll and record keeping. The position will require regular travel between the two camps (primarily in a camp provided truck). The Maintenance Director will be based at the Torch Lake site in Central Lake. Responsibilities include coordinating all building and renovation projects, managing timelines and budgets overseeing preventive maintenance, housekeeping and vehicle care and working as a member of the HWH Camps staff team. Qualified candidates should have at least five years of experience in a related position, a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred), extensive knowledge of building trades and excellent organizations skills. At times the job will require irregular work hours. The compensation package includes an annual salary in the range of $48,000 to $55,000, health insurance, paid time off and (when eligible) participation in the YMCA Retirement Fund.
