The Ellsworth Pig Roast Parade will be on Saturday, June 19 starting at 11 a.m. Registration and line-up will be at the Ellsworth High School parking lot, 9467 Park St., at 10 a.m. This year’s theme is Pigs and Paddle: A Paddle Through Time.

The Alba Sportsman’s Club will start having their summer breakfast on Sunday, June 13 from 7-11 a.m. The breakfast includes eggs, pancakes, sausage, toast, juice and coffee. Cost for adults is $8; seniors $6 and kids ages 10 and under $5. The monthly meeting will also be held that day at noon.

National Trails Day Celebration

The North Country Trail will be hosting a National Trails Day Celebration on Saturday, June 5. Kick start your summer and explore the new North Country Trail along the North Branch of the Boardman River in Kalkaska County. The guided hikes will have an 8:30 a.m. departure for a seven-mile hike and a 10 a.m. departure for 2.75-mile hike.
