The Central Lake Junior Class will be having a Spring Breakfast benefitting the 2022 Junior/Senior Prom on Saturday, April 9 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. at the Central Lake AmVets Post 6989, 1840 S. Main St. Choices will be scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and coffee and orange juice or scrambled eggs, sausage, blueberry pancakes and coffee and orange juice.
North Central Academy in Mancelona is holding an Eggstraganza Egg Hunt that is open to the community on Thursday, April 14 from 5:30-7 p.m. It will be held on the grounds of NCA located at 5055 Corey Rd. There will be raffle baskets, NCA Swag, petting zoo, egg dying and crafts. Walking tacos will be served for dinner. This is a free community event.
Help From My Friends is offering a volunteer class at the Pet Crisis Center on Saturday, April 2 at 2 p.m. There are a number of things you can sign up for at the end of class. Socializing cats and dogs, walking dogs, photography, gardening, handy person work, brushing pets and many other opportunities. The pet crisis center is located at 3605 S. Derenzy Rd., Bellaire.
The Southwell Sugar Shack a family owned and operated commercial level maple syrup production facility will be hosting an open house on Saturday, March 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The community is invited to tour the facility and learn how to make maple syrup. Enjoy samples of maple syrup, candy, popcorn and more. This is a free family friendly event.

The Bellaire Boys Basketball will be hosting an official selection of Santa Barbara International Film Festival of the movie Alaskan Nets at the Bellaire Theatre on Sunday, March 20 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 and there will be concessions and raffles. All profits will benefit the Bellaire Boys Basketball.

The Outdoor Sportsmen’s Banquet will be held on Saturday, March 12 at 5 p.m. at Shanty Creek Resort. Covid 19 policies will be followed.
