The annual “Alden Run” 5k run 10k run and 2 mile walk will once again take place on Saturday, July 29. All three events start just west of the community center up the hill from town. Each distance follows a separate route, with all finishing in town on Smalley Street behind the methodist church. The two mile course for walkers is all paved roads and is stroller friendly. Course maps are available at aldenrun.com. Participates must register online by July 25 at 12 p.m. Packet pick up will be Friday, July 28 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and again Saturday morning July 29 at 7:30 a.m. at the community center. The runs will begin at 9 a.m. The awards ceremony will take place right after in the open space between Paradise Properties and Nifty Things.
