Archaeology Artifact Identification Event
The Samels Farm will be hosting an archaeological artifact identification event on Sunday, July 20, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the historic Samels Farm, located at 8298 Skegemog Point Road in Williamsburg. Archaeologists Dr. Charles Cleland and Dr. Michael Hambacher will identify up to five of your local artifacts at no charge. All Great Lakes artifacts are welcome. Those from the local area are of most interest, especially artifacts found in the Skegemog Lake/Antrim Chain of Lakes area. Highlights from the Samels Farm artifact collection will be on display as well. The public is welcome to this free event and bringing artifacts is not required. For more information, call or text 231-533-6468 or email shirleyshane1956@gmail.com.
