Carly’s Hill Cardboard Classic
Carly’s Hill Cardboard Classic is held the fourth Saturday in Jan. which this year is Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Springfield Township Park and Recreation Area from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This event is highlighted by a race down Carly’s Hill comprised of sleds built by participants out of cardboard and duct tape in sleek designs. Rules for the event are simple, entries must be constructed using cardboard, tape and glue and an active creative imagination helps. A rope can be attached to aid in pulling and steering the sled. Participants will be competing for a variety of prizes with first, second and third place awarded for the longest run down the hill, best wipe out, who traveled farthest to enter and People Choice. No registration is required.
