Central Lake and Ellsworth schools expand Co-Op

With the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year, sports will have a different look this season for both Central Lake and Ellsworth schools as they expand their cooperative. The Trojans will now combine all middle school sports starting this fall and three varsity sports will also merge.

“The fall high school sports will look basically the same,” said Central Lake athletic director Brad Plackemeier, “starting with winter sports you will see a difference.”
