Central Lake July 4th Events
The Central Lake Chamber of Commerce is having its annual July 4th Celebration starting on Thursday, July 3 with the boat parade on Intermediate Lake at 6:30 p.m. starting at the bridge. On Friday, July 4 begins the festivities with the Victory4Veterans 5k run at 9 a.m. at the M-88 Pavilion. At 11 a.m. is the strawberry shortcake social at the First Congregational Church with the parade beginning at 12 p.m. in downtown Central Lake. The Central Lake Lions Club will be having their chicken dinner at Thurston Park in the Pavilion after the parade and until it is sold out. Both Friday and Saturday, July 4 and 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. is the Annual Tent Sale at the Friendly Book Cottage. At dusk on July 4 will be the fireworks with viewing at the Central Lake Football Track/Field. On Saturday, July 5 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. is Yoga in the Park and from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. is SUP USA Costume Paddle in the park. Starting at 12:30 p.m. is the Beer Tent and Food Truck which will be at Thurston Park and last event of the weekend on July 5 is the Cornhole Tournament at Thurston Park starting at 1 p.m.
