Hemlock Woolly Adelgid monitoring
Join GRNA’s Conservation Director, Emma Fitzgerald, for the annual Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA) monitoring walk on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 8–10 a.m. This free winter walk will take place along the GRNA trails and focuses on monitoring the area’s beautiful hemlock trees. Participants will learn how to identify hemlock trees and common look-alikes, as well as how to recognize signs of Hemlock Woolly Adelgid infestation. By participating, you’ll help GRNA remain proactive through consistent monitoring and early detection efforts while enjoying a scenic winter hike. Please RSVP to emma@grassriver.org.
