Learn to tie your own flies
The Elk Rapids District Library is offering a beginner fly tying class on two consecutive Thursdays, April 5 and 12, from 6:30-8 p.m. This will be an entry-level activity with basic fly tying fun for everyone. Participants to tie a wooly bugger pattern, which is one of the best fly patterns to catch a variety of fish. Tying the wooly bugger offers many of the necessary skills to tie many other fly patterns. Even experienced fly tiers may learn a few new techniques that will help them in their own tying.
All necessary equipment and materials will be available for the first five people to sign up for each class. There is room for other participants who have their own equipment. Call the Elk Rapids District Library at 231-264-9979 to secure a spot.
