MapleFest at Grass River

Grass River Natural Area will host MapleFest from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the pavilion at the Grass River Center. The free event will demonstrate how maple sap is turned into syrup using the center’s evaporator. Visitors may stop by at any time to watch the process, ask staff questions and hike the trails to see where trees are tapped and sap is collected. The Grass River Center will be open indoors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A limited supply of Grass River maple syrup may be available for purchase.
