Pasta with a Purpose
BELLAIRE – A benefit dinner is being held Monday, April 10 at Bellaire Community United Methodist Church to raise funds to help the family of a young Bellaire mother with medical expenses.
Bellaire resident, Amber May Higby, 31, was recently hospitalized at Mary Free Bed Hospital in Grand Rapids after spending 41 days at Munson Hospital in Traverse City as a result of a brain aneurism she suffered on Feb. 19. Amber’s mother, Beth Lacy, said that she has already gone through several surgical procedures and there are more to come.
Amber and her husband, Chris, have two children, Emma May, 5 and Landon , 3.
The event, labeled “Pasta with a Purpose, will run from 6 to 8 p.m. with a suggested donation of $10 and donors can choose to eat in or take out.
