Ice Fishing Derby

The annual Fife Lake $1,000 Ice Fishing Derby is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 4 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m, The cost is $35 per angler of 18 years and older. Young anglers 17 years old and under is $10. On Friday, Feb. 3 the price goes up to $50 per adult angler and $20 for young anglers and are available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. so purchase your registration early by calling 231-879-33341 or by walking into Fife Lake Lodging & Party Store, 228 East State in Fife Lake. There will be no registrations sold the day of the derby. There will also be a free Ice Shanty Decorating Contest from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. with prizes awarded at the ceremony which takes place in the parking lot at Fife Lake Lodging & Party Store at approximately 3:15 p.m. or 3:30 p.m. Prizes are donated by Mad Swirlz Ice Cream & Eatz of Fife Lake.
